Privacy policy

This policy covers Mifi and Legnica. Swooshi has its own policy at swooshi.app. The data controller is Patryk Juniszewski (appnice), contact: developer@appnice.dev.

Mifi: English for kids

• Mifi does not connect to the internet and has no accounts. Nothing is sent to any server.
• Mifi does not use the microphone in this version. When speaking exercises return, sound will be checked on the device and never saved or sent.
• The voice is pre-recorded and stored in the app. Nothing about the child is sent anywhere to produce speech.
• The child's name or nickname, age band, avatar and learning progress are stored only on the device. Deleting the app deletes them.
• There are no ads, no analytics and no trackers.
• Purchases (Mifi Plus) are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see payment details.

Legnica: city guide

• Legnica has no accounts, ads, analytics or crash reporting.
• Location, if you allow it, shows you on the map, distances to places and walking navigation, also in the background while a navigation is running. It never leaves your phone.
• The app downloads the map, descriptions, photos and recordings from our server (legnica.appnice.dev). Like any server, it sees the IP address needed to send the reply; we do not link it to a person or keep it for analytics.
• Place ratings (thumbs up or down) are anonymous. The app creates a random install identifier once, not tied to your phone or to you. The server stores only a hashed form of it, so one install has one vote per place, and the shared vote counts. You can take your vote back at any time.
• Favourite places and settings are stored only on the device.
• Notifications are used only to show a navigation in progress.

Your rights

You have the right to information, access, correction and deletion of your data, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because app data stays on your device, uninstalling the app deletes it. Questions: developer@appnice.dev.
